Every UK tour agreement is now made to SCJ Entertainment Ltd, 37 Bury Crescent, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 3TZ, co. 06734322. JR signs on Sean's behalf, admin-wise, and will send Sean an email setting out all terms.
⚠️ Use this exact wording on every agreement — Albert's correction, because "arranged by John Robson" states a role, not legal authority:
"This acceptance is given for and on behalf of SCJ Entertainment Ltd by John Robson of Big Laugh Boutique, its duly authorised agent."
Why it matters: BLB Ltd dissolved Feb 2026, so "Big Laugh Boutique" and "John Robson" are the same legal person with no corporate veil. Naming SCJ keeps the ticket contract, VAT, refunds and the 48-hour cancellation liability inside a company.

Albert reviewed it first (AL-008): market-standard, safe to agree, Low–Medium, no external counsel.
⚠️ The real venue take is 33%, not 30% — the 3% commission and 30% facility fee stack, and their invoice likely adds VAT on top, which SCJ cannot reclaim. Possibly 39.6% all-in, worth ~£625 across the three. Query sent, awaiting Tammie.

Steve Lodge: 70/30 ours, £18 ticket, contract offered same day and accepted.
311 seats, not the ~300 on file — plus a 200-seat black box we did not know existed. At £18 × 70% = £3,918 at capacity, ~£2,350 at 60%.
⭐ The bigger prize: monthly "top end" club nights through 2027, last Sunday of the month, across both rooms — up to £5k a night for a headliner he knows will sell. We have asked whether he wants us to source the whole bill, including headliners from outside our roster. A recurring booking relationship for the roster, not a Sean date.

Greg Maguire, tech@grubmcr.com: "we'd love to host Sean's show." Offered Fri 22 Jan / 5 Feb / 12 Feb + a hold on 29 Jan. All four collide — 22 Jan is Sean's own Attic, 5 Feb Scotland, 12 Feb Tiverton, 29 Jan Creatures. ⚠️ They have stated neither capacity nor terms. Two questions drafted to Greg, not sent. Creatures is not definitively the better room until those come back — their 6:45–7:45 slot is the early one, the venue's own showcase runs later.

The 2024 show in that exact room, promoted by the same person, did 97 online + ~20 on the door in a 120 room — it sold out. Sat 13 Feb is far safer than we had it. ⚠️ Standing lesson: door sales never appear in a ticketing export, so any platform figure is a floor, not the gate.

Late Jan → Feb 2027 · UK. ⚠️ This section was three weeks stale — rewritten 29 Jul. The old plan ("LST is the routing gate", Ireland closing the run) is dead. Current shape: five clusters — Solent (Fri 22 / Sat 23 Jan) · North-Midlands (Thu 28 – Sat 30 Jan) · Scotland + Newcastle (Thu 4 – Sun 7 Feb) · West Country (Thu 11 – Sun 14 Feb) · the February finale (Fri 26 – Sun 28). LST pulled (~£2k hire risk, and Sean has his own Southampton show that weekend) → London is now Top Secret, Kingsway, JR chasing the owner direct. Ireland parked as Sean's own later leg via his own promoter. Density still Sean's call; JR has stated 8–12 and we're at 13 — so the live question is what comes out. ✅ Identified by JR: it's Tiverton TOWN HALL — council-run, St Andrew Street EX16 6PA, 01884 253404, tivertontowncouncil.gov.uk. (My first read was Comedy Hall — wrong, retired. Comedy Hall stays on file as a separate live promoter lead in the same town.) Council quotes up to ~200 across two rooms, the Town Hall and the New Hall — some listings show 60 for meeting layouts, so confirm which room, seated, for comedy. ~200 is inside the 120–200 tier.
📅 Ask FRI 12 FEB · fallback THU 11 · never offer Sat 13 (Bristol's, and it would backtrack). 🛑 The question that decides the date: straight council hall hire, or is somebody programming comedy there? A bare hire = we carry the risk and all the marketing in a town with no list — the weakest model. They approached us, so someone is probably programming it. Find out who.
🎨 Venue artwork — PARKED, to be built as one batch JR, 29 Jul
JR: "make the posters a bit different for the UK… park the artwork for venues until we have more assets and more venue requirements, then do a bulk of venues at once." Agreed — and the stronger reason isn't efficiency, it's coherence: build The Stand's now and it becomes the UK look by accident, with everything after it either copying or drifting. Built once, across the run, it's a decision.

Shows are late Jan–Feb 2027, it's July 2026, and comedy on-sale is typically 3–6 months out. ⚠️ But parking artwork parks the on-sale — The Stand can't go live without an image. Wants a target date so it doesn't drift.

🏴 The Stand ×3 — CONFIRMED, and it comes with a contract 29 Jul
Tammie: "these are all in on our side, too." Edinburgh Thu 4 · Glasgow Sat 6 mat · Newcastle Sun 7 mat — all three confirmed, show-confirm doc attached and saved.
- 🛑 "We require intervals for all shows." Sean's show is a straight hour — an interval means restructuring it into two halves across all three rooms. That's a change to the act, not the paperwork. JR ↔ Sean, and it blocks the on-sale because Duration is one of the fields they need.
- 💷 The deal is not a plain 70/30. 3% commission on GROSS via their box office + a 30% venue charge on ALL NET sales, including tickets sold by other agencies. So a ticket hub or any other seller does not avoid the 30%.
- 🛑 VAT is ours. They act as host venue + disclosed ticket agent; the promoter declares VAT on all sales. → Clara + Albert, and it ties straight into the live V360 entity/VAT work.
- 🛑 We must nominate a "Third Party" name for their site — and that is who the settlement is paid to. Decision needed before on-sale: Big Laugh Boutique / John Robson / V360.
- ⚠️ Cancellation: inside 48 hours we're liable for venue staffing costs + a 3% admin charge. Small, but real, and it's three rooms in one weekend.
- 🛑 They've asked JR to "read over and agree" the amended Tour & Third-Party agreement. That's a contract carrying VAT liability, a settlement payee and a cancellation liability — Albert reviews before anyone agrees. Not mine to wave through.
- 📋 Also needed to go on sale: ticket prices (⚠️ their members always get the concession price, so the concession we set is the member price) · 16:9 LANDSCAPE artwork + a hi-res print version — our poster set is portrait, so a new cut is owed · web copy · on-sale date · presale yes/no (+ a code word if yes).
⚖️ Tour money structure — SETTLED BY JR, 29 Jul Model locked
Sean's Ltd is the contracting party. Named Third Party at The Stand = promoter of record = signatory = payee. Settlements go direct to Sean's company. BLB stays clear of it — no ticket contract, no VAT, no cancellation liability — and invoices Sean for the work, with full transparency to him throughout. If Sean registers for VAT, that's his and his accountant's to handle. JR will likely ask Sean for an advance on the whole tour once the dates are locked in.
- ✅ Why it's the right shape: the liability sits with the party earning the box office, and BLB's exposure drops to nil. The alternative — settlements through us — gives natural security but hands us the VAT, the customer contract and the 48-hour cancellation liability.
- ✅ Authority to bind — CLOSED BY JR, 29 Jul. "I trust Sean, and I'd rather deal with Sean than customs and excise over the VAT at the mo." I'd flagged that JR agreeing terms for Sean's Ltd without written authority could land back on JR or BLB if something went wrong. JR's call, and the reasoning holds: the alternative is BLB carrying the ticket contract and the VAT, i.e. swapping a small counterparty risk with a trusted partner for live HMRC exposure. He's taken the trade knowingly. Closed — no further paperwork chased on this. (For the record, the point was never about trusting Sean — it was paperwork hygiene that protects JR if a venue dispute goes sideways. Noted once, not pressed.)
- 📋 What we need from Sean before The Stand can go on sale — we hold none of it: registered company name (as at Companies House) · company number · registered address · VAT status (+ number if he registers) · his signature on the show confirmation · the authority line if JR is agreeing on his behalf. JR's conversation, not mine — commercial lane. Worth pairing with the interval and the advance so Sean gets one call, not three.
- ⚠️ Still worth one sentence to Sean: the turnover point, BEFORE he signs. As named promoter, all gross ticket income across the tour is his company's turnover — not just his fee — and VAT registration is a rolling 12-month test. He may not know that. JR's position (his accountant's problem) is the right division of responsibility; telling him after he crosses the threshold is how goodwill gets lost. One sentence in the call.
- 📌 Advance timing: JR's call is on lock-in, made with the on-sale-vs-booked trade-off in front of him. Logged, not re-argued. My note stands on the record: booked isn't sold.
- 📌 Sequencing: The Stand need the third-party name and details before on-sale — so Sean's company details are now on the critical path for Scotland.
🎫 Creatures — settled 29 Jul
£15 / £20 / £25 confirmed by JR. 20% external allocation DECLINED — not worth the extra accounting. So Skiddle sells all 100: one settlement, one party, nothing to reconcile. Knock-on to hold in mind: no buyer data comes off this show, and the tour ticket hub becomes a signpost to Skiddle rather than a seller. ⚠️ Seasonality — DON'T open early Jan JR
JR flag (2026-07-06): first fortnight of January is dead for live — audiences are "Xmas'd out" (skint post-Christmas, dry-Jan, cocooning); venues quiet by nature. So weight the run to the BACK HALF of Jan → early Feb when demand recovers (Stand avails run to 6–7 Feb — use that Feb tail). Don't be fooled by the Stand's heavy early-Jan availability (2–3, 9–10) — that's soft-demand supply. Implication for Trinity: late-Jan dates (23/30) are now commercially good dates, not a problem — see revised date read below.
🆕 Creatures Manchester — the reply, and the one decision in it

- Slot: 6:45–7:45pm, fixed. Tom, 28 Jul: "We don't offer the later show slot as it is our main showcase." Asked and answered — no later room.
- Price + tiers are ours. "Happy to run the price and tiers however you would like." So £15 / £20 / £25 stands unless JR moves it. Their own touring names (Paul Foot, Matt Forde) run £15/£20/£30.
- Ticketing: Skiddle, their system. They've offered a 20% external allocation if we want to sell through Sean's own channels.
- Deal: split, no hire fee → zero downside on the room.
- ⚑ Action on us: fill in their ticketing form to go on sale.
My read: 6:45 is early, but it's a fixed hour in the right room with nothing at risk. An early-doors hour at £15–20 in a full 100-seater is a far better first Manchester night than an 8:30 room we'd have to pay for. JR's own rule decides it — a full 120 beats a half-empty 250.
⭐ The 20% allocation is the real decision here — the only part that needs a call rather than a yes. Taking it means ~20 tickets sold through Sean's site and socials, so we keep those buyer details instead of Skiddle keeping all 100. That's the first live test of the ticket hub, and the start of a UK list we'll want when Canada goes on sale. Recommendation: take it.
